Wanted: Kick-ass Production Assistant for exciting Online Course Publishing House [Europe hours]
Are you a book lover with grit?
My name’s Kathryn and I’m looking for an articulate and resilient person to join my small team as a “Swiss-army knife” assistant.
If you're someone who:
Loves reading and ideas (a Friday night spent in with a book is a good one for you)
Writes effectively (with proper attention to detail, and a love for the English language)
Is a calm problem solver and enjoys tracking things down as a research assistant online
Has grit and determination to keep trying until you solve a problem or learn a new skill
Is a meticulous perfectionist who always wants to deliver the best, and is always on the lookout for ways to improve and streamline processes
Wants to excel in your career and take pride in active and stimulating work
Is looking for a shot to prove yourself, and can be depended upon
Gets excited at the prospect of fast-paced and varied demands
...This could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
You will become an integral member of my small team at Course Concierge (http://courseconcierge.com), where I am a Producer, and be part of creating top-notch online courses for experts from an ever-widening range of fields.
The role will include duties as diverse as writing, editing/proofing, providing customer support, editing audios, loading content to our WordPress sites, creating email capture forms, checking videos, testing websites, and scheduling emails and posts.
You will become the go-to person for everyone in the team – if there’s a task that needs to be done, you’ll be happy to take the initiative and see it through, giving your best every step of the way.
With so much going on, you’ll be glad to have good self-directed time management and organizational skills, too.
If there are things you consider you’re lacking from the above, do not (necessarily) be intimidated. If you’re smart enough, proactive enough, and a quick enough study, that’s room to make up for it. (I’d rank tenacity over experience, and am looking for somebody long-term.)
The position will start at around 30 hours per week and quickly increase to something approximating full-time, with pay set at an equitable hourly rate.
We are a remote company, and (for time zones) for this role we’re looking for someone based in Europe.
To apply, simply write back towith a short note on why you think you could be the right fit for the role.
If you don’t have much professional experience, that’s absolutely fine – applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Indeed, we pride ourselves on nurturing those with “atypical” backgrounds who at other companies may never be given a shot.
Please do not include a CV of any kind – all that matters is whether you can do it.
There's no deadline for getting back, but the sooner you do, the better. We won’t be able to get back to everyone, but for those who stand out, we will be in touch to discuss next steps. (If you haven’t heard back from us within two weeks of writing, we’re sorry that this time your application hasn’t advanced.)
We will pick one candidate from interviews to begin a paid trial (to assess on-the-job performance and cultural fit) to then move ahead with the role.
Thank you for considering the position and reading until this point. If you’re feeling on the fence about applying: please do.
I look forward to hearing from you,
