Customer Support Representative

TheCustomer Support Representative will act as the liaison and facilitator between publishing account customers and LPis printing operation. This position will provide service to customers via phone and email regarding publication deadlines, shipping and contact information, as well as proprietary LPi provided and/or produced software and services.

  • Provide customer with all materials and knowledge necessary to compose electronic files and transmit files for printing and reproduction of documents. Continued awareness of changing technologies internally and externally to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Train and instruct new accounts on requests for additional remote training. Training may include, producing and updating training materials such as, help sheets, manuals, training videos, and vignettes.
  • Deliver customer service and technical support to customers to help resolve issues they may have with their files and/or transmitting their files. Examples include customers uploading issues, software compatibility issues or connectivity issues.
  • Assist customers with transmission times, shipping and delivery issues or changes, contact information, and other customer service issues.
  • Assist customer service with new customer set up including determining current software needs, computer requirements and installation of LPi Express and any other necessary software. Update copy flow sheets and other forms accurately.
  • Requires occasional work in the early evening/ half day Saturday to support customers.
  • Participate in the completion of internal documentation related to Production and related administrative activities.
  • Associates Degree in Graphic Arts, Business, Communications or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of Prepress experience or Graphic Arts related experience preferred
  • Customer service skills, excellent communication, and critical thinking skills to provide training for new and existing publication editors
  • Strong attention to detail, creative thinking and results oriented skills. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve more complex, emerging and/or new software and internet issues.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows-based, and to a lesser extent Mac-based, products and programs: Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign and Quark Xpress, Adobe Acrobat Professional, FileMaker Pro, LogMeIn, instant messaging, and internet programs. Proficiency in internet-based software, applications and search engines
