Director of Marketing & Communications

Bonecutter Properties seeks a full-time, experienced Director of Marketing & Communications to manage digital and traditional marketing and public relations for the Bonecutter Family of Companies in Mt. Gilead, OH. While this position is primarily on site, it also has the potential for semi-remote work and flexible work schedule.

About the Bonecutter Family of Companies:

The Bonecutters are at the center of an explosion of growth happening in the Morrow County region and surrounding counties in North Central Ohio through economic development. The Bonecutter Family of Companies is composed of commercial and mixed residential real estate development, property management, several small retail businesses including the region’s largest Tesla supercharging station, car wash, laundromat and other retail offerings, as well as four real estate offices in Morrow, Knox, Delaware and Ashland County.

The Job

The ideal person for this job is someone who’s a self-starter, a bright marketer, and a creative problem solver who is able to dream up and execute marketing and communication plans for a number of companies and initiatives.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute ongoing marketing plans for Bonecutter Family of Companies
  • Manage all traditional advertising and digital advertising on Facebook, Google, and other platforms as needed
  • Update web content as needed on company websites using Wordpress
  • Create content and manage all company social media accounts
  • Oversee and optimize all email automation workflows
  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Coordinate and manage agency, consultant, and freelance partners to accomplish marketing goals

About You

We’re looking for a unicorn: someone multi-talented, enjoys a challenge, able to dream up big ideas and make them happen. Ideally, this person has the following skills & qualities:

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing and communications role in an agency or organization
  • Facebook and Google Ad Certified with proven digital advertising experience
  • Experience with marketing automation software
  • Experience with basic Wordpress functions
  • Basic graphic design ability using Adobe, Canva, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • A strong understanding of current trends in digital marketing and content development, and the ability to translate that knowledge into marketing strategy
  • Highly organized and efficient, with a strong attention to detail
  • Motivated self-starter that gets things done
  • Creative problem solver with a strong ability to think on your feet and seek to find answers when they are immediately unclear
  • Flexible and easy-going
  • Fast learner
  • Great sense of humor
