Position Purpose: The Content Marketing Specialist is responsible for bringing together words, images, and data into compelling stories that help us drive the adoption of the bio-materials we make from renewable resources. You’ll own all aspects of this process, from writing high-quality copy to facilitating data visualization to directing photo shoots to best capture the value proposition of a product. Primary Responsibilities: Use research and marketing skills to brainstorm, produce, and test a range of content that grows brand awareness and guides lead generation and direct sales Align content strategy with an understanding of audiences and global market trends within each of our target industry markets Work with our digital and graphics team to tailor content for distribution across a range of channels and formats (print, web, social, email, video) Support our sales and marketing team with content for presentations Copy-writing to support public relations content from press releases to trade articles Manage requests for content from our customers, supply chain partners, and Ingeo-brand licensees. Qualifications: Education and Experience Required: BA Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related science or engineering field, or equivalent industry experience 3 years of experience in copy-writing, marketing or sales support and communications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies Excellent time and project management with exceptional attention to detail (experience with a project management tool a plus)Have developed compelling content, from idea to execution; copy editing experience Good interviewer that can identify the key value proposition of a product for specific audience and tailor content to elevate that value and capture the audience’s attention Enjoy working both autonomously and collaboratively on a diverse team Are a self-directed learner that can quickly develop an understanding of technical topics, with an ability to translate into targeted content for technical and business audience Experience with creative media (photo, video) production and visualizing data (through Excel or other graphing program) Good with software like Microsoft Office and learning new programs as needed Comfortable collaborating with remote team members via apps like Skype, Slack, or Microsoft Teams Strong desire to learn and try new things; status quo is not good enough Ability to think quickly and strategically to resolve conflicts Must maintain a high-level of confidentiality and diplomacy with sensitive or proprietary information Useful Additional Experience: Familiarity with bio-materials and/or plastics B2B marketing experience Working knowledge of SEO tactics Basic Graphic design knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite Working Conditions/Physical Requirements : Fast-paced office environment with pressure of multiple time deadlines Flexibility to work the outside normal working hours to accommodate phone calls with international team members Occasionally requires regular lifting/carrying of up to 50 pounds Ability to travel 1-3 times per year Requires use of electronics such as computers, tablets, mobile phones Required computer-related activities for extended periods of time.
