Job Title: VMware Systems administrator

Location : Remote

Duration : 6+ Months

Job Description:

Responsibilities

Work with internal teams to perform tasks and activities associated with tenant and VM administration, maintenance, and support

Create/Maintain VMs to support Workforce Central readiness (e.g., service pack updates)

Create/Refresh/Maintain tenants to support Workforce Dimensions readiness

Create/Delete WFD Sandbox for PS Delivery Teams Tenant Management

Create/Delete EVL tenants, tenant management

Monitor and report on tenant cost/usage

Submit tenant refresh requests to Cloud Operations team aligned with Learning team training schedule

Provision tenants and VMs for instructor-led training, per schedule

Provision tenants and VMs for self-paced courses, per on-demand requests and weekly signup lists

Troubleshoot tenant and VM access issues for Kronos employees and Implementation partners

Optimize and maintain connection and troubleshooting documents related to VM and tenant access

Perform cloning tasks as required for tenants and VMs

Develop quarterly automated process to ensure tenant and VM clones are updated with password changes and remote access license refreshes

Review and analyze internal VMware vSphere PowerCLI Scripts for opportunities to automate VM assignments, extensions or expirations

Review current Windows PowerShell scripting to identify process improvements focused on automating weekly assignments and un-assignments of Learning tenants

Qualifications

Intermediate proficiency (VMware vSphere PowerCLI & Windows PowerShell)

Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and management of server resources between virtual machines

Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of vSphere replication

Experience with deploying VM build on vSphere vCenter

Knowledge of SaaS cloud platform software for virtualization, provisioning, backup, cloning, network storage, or similar server technology.

Knowledge of protocols such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, TCP/IP.

Experience using or implementing REST APIs

KVM, VMware ESX, Xen server, or Hyper-V operation and management

Knowledge of vCloud, AWS or any public clouds preferred

Knowledge of simple workflow engines and job management systems preferred
